BRIDGEWATER, N.J. (August 5, 2025) – The Northeast Conference (NEC) revealed its 2025 women's soccer preseason poll where Howard University was projected to finish first for the second straight season. The announcement came Tuesday afternoon.
 
HU tallied seven first-place votes. Last season, the Bison won their first NEC Regular Season and Tournament Titles with a 11-5-5 (8-1-1 NEC) mark. Howard also reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2018.
 
FDU was picked to finish runner-up after four first-place votes, followed by Wagner College (one first-place vote).
 
The preseason poll was voted on by the conference's head coaches.
 
Howard opens its 2025 campaign Thursday (Aug. 14) versus North Florida. Match time is slated for 7 p.m., at Greene Stadium.
