WASHINGTON (August 23, 2023) – Howard University women's soccer team begins a three-match home stand Thursday (Aug. 24), hosting rival Hampton in Battle of the Real HU. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside Greene Stadium.

HOWARD
Howard (0-1-1) faces its third CAA opponent this season, tying with Elon opening night, 3-3 (Aug. 17), and dropping 1-0 at Towson (Aug. 20).
Freshman goalkeeper
Trinity Knox (Atlanta) is off to a strong start, making the third most saves in the league.
HAMPTON
Hampton (0-2) seeks its first ever victory over Howard.
In two contests, goalie Alexis Deveaux has made a conference-high 21 saves and sits third in the country. Sophomore Makayla Wade anchors the back line, along with being a key distributor off of set pieces.
LAST TIMEOUT
Sunday (Aug. 20), the Bison suffered their first loss of the season as a second-half goal by Towson sealed the deal.
Junior
Melea Earley (La Mirada, Calif.) and sophomore
Cheyenne Lam (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) led the Bison offense with two shots apiece. Defensively, Knox ended the match with eight saves.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
On Aug. 27, HU continues its home stand against Middle Tennessee State. Match time is set for 1 p.m. at Greene Stadium.
