BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (September 30, 2019) – The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) unveiled its women's soccer weekly honors where Howard University saw senior Alayah Hightower (Largo, Md.) and sophomore Kendall Macauly (Toronto, Canada) recognized for their outstanding efforts over the weekend. The announcement came Monday evening.
 
Hightower earned SWAC Co-Goalkeeper of the Week while the Toronto native claimed the league's top defender.
 
The Maryland product racked up her second weekly honor of the year after recording back-to-back shutouts to open conference play in the victories over Jackson State (Sept. 27) and Southern (Sept. 29). Currently, she has four shutouts so far this season.
 
Defensively, Macauly anchored Howard to a pair of shutouts while registering two assists against the Tigers and Jags. On the season, she has accumulated four points (two assists and a goal).
 
Prairie View A&M's Diana Neff received SWAC Offensive Player of the Week and teammate Quinn Josiah shared goalkeeper of the week with Hightower.

Howard returns to Birmingham for a pair of conference matches against Texas Southern (Oct. 4) and Prairie View A&M (Oct. 6). Friday's showdown against the Tigers starts 8:30 p.m. (ET)/7:30 p.m. (CT) and Sunday's clash versus the Panthers begins at noon (ET)/ 11 a.m. (CT).
