PHILADELPHIA (September 6, 2026) — Howard University women's soccer team scored a season-high four goals Sunday afternoon, but came up short on the road at La Salle, 7-4, in Philly (Philadelphia).
Senior midfielder
Asia Mickens-Perez (Upper Marlboro, Md.) got HU on the board first with a penalty kick, 1-0, but the Explorers responded with four unanswered goals to take a commanding 4-1 advantage into halftime.
La Salle (2-3-2) upped the lead after intermission, 5-1, but the Bison refused to go away.
Howard tallied three goals with an 11-minute span to pull within a score, 5-4, highlighted by a pair of goals from junior defender
Nadia Bolden (Charlotte, N.C.).
Despite HU regaining the moment, La Salle withstood the Bison's attack and countered with two insurance goals to win, 7-4.
Bolden and Mickens-Perez each recorded two scores in the loss.

Trinity Knox (Atlanta) notched seven saves.
For La Salle, Justyce Hollenbach registered a hat trick (three goals) while Ella Cadigan had a match-high four assists in the victory.
On Sept. 13, HU (0-3-2) goes to Richmond, Va., to battle the Richmond Spiders. Match time is set for 3 p.m.
