Larry Strickland and the Howard University Men's & Women's Tennis team continue Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) play Saturday (March 31) against Norfolk State (NSU). First-serve is set for 1 p.m. at the Banneker Recreation Center.

Howard women (3-7, 0-1 MEAC) are pursuing its first MEAC win of the year. Coach Strickland's bunch has been battling injuries all season long. In their match against rival Hampton, freshman standouts
Nathalie Finch and
Yassmine Khiri each missed the contest due to injury. Both Bison are scheduled to return Saturday versus the Spartans.
NSU men (5-3) will compete in its first league match of the season. Saturday's showdown will also be the Spartans first true road contest after playing six times in a seven-day span in Orlando, Fla. Despite the long road swing, Norfolk State picked up victories against Mount St. Mary's, Hampton, Niagara and NCAA Division-III's John Carroll.
For the Norfolk State women (2-5, 1-0 MEAC), they earned its first conference win of the year by edging out Delaware State, 4-3, while breaking its three-match skid. Dajana Cvjetkovic serves as the Spartans' No. 1 singles player where she has accumulated a 5-2 (1-0 MEAC) overall dual record.
LAST TIMEOUT
Saturday (March 24), HU women dropped its MEAC opener against rival Hampton, 4-0, at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center on the campus of Old Dominion University.
Thursday (March 29), Lyn and Shokeir won their respective dual matches, but the Bison fell to Duquesne, 5-2, at Banneker Recreation Center.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
Wednesday (April 4), both squads travel to Baltimore to face Coppin State in conference play. First-serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
The next day (April 5), HU men return to the District where the St. Francis-Brooklyn Terriers await. The action starts 2 p.m.
