WASHINGTON (April 12, 2026) - Howard University men's & women's tennis teams return to Banneker Recreation Center in D.C., for the final home match Monday (April 13). The Bison will face Morgan State University (MSU). The men start at 10 a.m., followed by the women at 2:30 p.m.
LAST TIMEOUT
On April 11, the women's team competed against Navy at the Fluegel-Moore Tennis Stadium in Annapolis, Md., where they fell, 0-4, but clinched one doubles win.
Lauren Oliver (Winston-Salem, N.C.) and
Franchesca Brown (Atlanta) won their match against the Navy's Peyton Philemon and Anna Jordaan, 6- 4.
Sunday (April 12), the men's squad fell to Navy, 2-4.
Alexander Monagan (Natchez, Miss.) led the Bison, winning both his doubles and singles matches.
MATCHUP PREVIEWS
WOMEN
This MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) match could bolster the teams' 4-1 record in league play. Their last meetup was a 2-4 loss in the 2025 MEAC Quarterfinals, ending the Bisons' chance at the MEAC Championship.
The Bison have great momentum coming into the match with a three-game winning streak against MEAC teams.
MEN
The men are looking to snap a two-match skid before the conference tournament. HU is also looking to break its two-match slide against Bears.
SENIOR DAY
This match will be senior
Selah Stibbins (Minneapolis) last game at Banneker. She has played for the team since her freshman year during the 2022-23 season. Overall, she has won 13 singles matches and 17 doubles matches over her four years as a Bison.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
The Bison women are headed to Baltimore to play the Johns Hopkins Blue Jays at the Tennis Courts at Johns Hopkins Saturday (April 18). Match starts at 4 p.m.
For the men, they are gearing up for the MEAC Championships in Cary, N.C. (April 23-25).
