STANFORD, Calif. (March 28, 2026) – Howard University men's golf team ended its West Coast swing in Stanford, Calif., at The Goodwin, hosted by the Stanford Cardinals. The three-day (March 26-28), 54-hole event took place at Stanford Golf Course (par-70, 6,742 yards).
Collectively, HU shot 28-over par (868).
Junior
Francisco Perez led the way after firing 8-over par (218) in three rounds of action.
Sophomore
Michael Perusse (Pearland, Texas) finished one stroke behind Perez, shooting 9-over par (219).
Juniors
Mitchell Grey (Mississauga, Canada) and
Mathis Perroni (Metz, France) each posted 221 (+11) in 54 holes of play.
No. 23 Stanford won The Goodwin after registering 17-under par (823). No. 35 UCLA finished runner-up, just four strokes behind the Cardinals (827, -13), followed by No. 21 New Mexico (830, -10).
No. 48 Mesa Falleur (New Mexico) won the individual crown (198, -12), edging out No. 20 Kihei Akinia (BYU) by one stroke (199, -11).
On April 4, the Bison will compete in the Puryear Cup, hosted by Winston-Salem State.
