URBANA, Md. (March 22, 2026) – Howard University men's golf team sent three Bison to Urbana, Md., for the annual Carpetbagger Classic, hosted by Binghamton. The two-day (March 21-22), 36-hole event took place at the Worthington Manor Golf Course (par-72, 7,034 yards).
All three Bison competed as individuals.
Newcomer
John Thompson (Columbia, S.C.) led the charge, shooting even par (144) while tying for ninth overall.
Junior
Mitchell Grey (Mississauga, Canada) tied for 17
th place after firing 2-over par (146) in 36 holes of action.
Fellow classmate
Kezaia Dimosi (London, England) rounded out the Bison with a 9-over par (153) performance, tying for 56
th on the player leaderboard.
Jackson Roman (Loyola, Md.) won the individual title (137, -7), edging out Guillermo Ochoa Valencia (Wagner College) by one stroke (138, -6).
Collectively, Mount St. Mary's won the 2026 Carpetbagger Classic, shooting 4-over par (580). La Salle and Bryant tied for second place (584, +8).
On March 23-24, HU heads west for the Bridgestone Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Central Michigan.
