NORFOLK, Va. (February 3, 2026) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) revealed its women's tennis weekly awards where Howard University swept both accolades. The announcement came Tuesday evening.
Junior
Imani Jean (Brooklyn, N.Y.) won MEAC Player of the Week while DMV native freshman
Camille Hall (Bowie, Md.) took home the league's Rookie of the Week.
In Saturday's (Jan. 31) showdown, Jean topped the Hoyas' Emily Novikov in straight sets, (6-2, 6-3) while Hall outlasted Georgetown's Ashley Kennedy in a thrilling three-set battle (7-6, 4-6, 7-6).
Both Bison earned their first singles victory of the season.
HU heads to Virginia for a pair of matchups. Friday (Feb. 13), Howard goes to Harrisonburg, Va., to battle James Madison. First-serve at 10 a.m. The following day (Feb. 14), the Bison travel to Williamsburg, Va., to face William & Mary. Match time is slated for 1 p.m.
