BALTIMORE (April 18, 2026) – Howard University women's tennis dropped a 7-0 decision at Johns Hopkins Saturday afternoon in its regular-season finale.
The Bison had a competitive start in doubles competition as freshman
Camille Hall (Bowie, Md.) and senior
Selah Stibbins (Minneapolis) secured a 6-4 victory at No. 1 doubles.
At No. 2 doubles, junior
Lauren Oliver (Winston-Salem, N.C.) and freshman
Franchesca Brown (Atlanta) battled but fell, 6-3.
The No. 3 doubles match was decided by default.
In singles action, Brown competed at the top spot while Hall delivered one of the tighter contests of the day at No. 2 singles, pushing her opponent in the opening set before falling 7-5, 6-3.
Oliver and junior
Dana Hall (Miami) also represented the Bison in the middle of the lineup.
Howard now shifts its focus to postseason play at the MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Championship. The Bison, seeded third, will face reigning MEAC Champion No. 6 South Carolina State in the quarterfinal round Friday, April 25. First serve is set for 11 a.m., at Cary Tennis Park.
