GREENSBORO, N.C. (May 3, 2025) – Howard University men's track & field squad wrapped up the regular season in Greensboro, N.C., competing in the Aggie Classic (May 2-3), hosted by North Carolina A&T State.
Throughout the two-day event, several Bison posted new personal bests.
Senior
Kyle Fisher (Duluth, Ga.) won the long jump, leaping over 24 feet (7.42 meters). Fellow classmate
Sean Wray (Stafford, Va.) also competed in the event, earning sixth place (6.81 meters).

Chase Drewery (Waldorf, Md.) took part in the triple jump, finishing second (15.63 meters) and fourth (15.07 meters), respectively. Wray also participated, landing fifth (14.85 meters).
In throwing events, rookie
Solomon Young (Charlotte, N.C.) placed top 7 in three categories: shot put (fifth/13.80 meters); discus (seventh/42.88 meters) and hammer (seventh/38.16 meters).
On the track, graduate
Noah Langford (Virginia Beach, Va.), newcomer
Justin Watterson (Las Vegas) and senior
Amon-Ra Watkins (Bronx, N.Y.) competed in the short hurdles (110-meters), placing third (13.91/season-best), fourth (14.21/personal best) and fifth (14.54), respectively. The Virginia native also ran a new personal best in the 400-meter dash, clocking in at 46.92.
Other noteworthy performances on the track included sophomore
Jordan Good (Burlington, N.C.) and freshman
William Shepherd (Plano, Texas) taking fourth (1:53.22) and seventh (1:56.90/personal best), respectively, in the 800-meter run.
On May 15-17, HU heads to Norfolk, Va., for the 2025 MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Outdoor Championships.
