NORFOLK, Va. (May 17, 2025) – Howard University men's track & field team tied for second place at the MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Outdoor Championships, held at Dick Price Stadium in Norfolk, Va., hosted by Norfolk State University (NSU).
Collectively, the Bison scored 111.5 points in 21 events.
On Day Three, graduate
Noah Langford (Virginia Beach, Va.) and rookie
Justin Watterson (Las Vegas) placed first (13.64) and third (13.98), respectively, in the short hurdles (110-meter) with both times being personal bests. The Virginia native also won the 400-meter dash, clocking in at 50.65 (season-best).

Emerson McKindra (Linden, N.J.) and freshmen
Cameron Brazell (Houston) and
Elijah Grant (Fort Mill, S.C.) secured second place in the 4x400 relay, producing a 3:09.66 time.
The 4x100 relay squad of Brazell, graduates
Goba Dan-Princewill (Houston) and
Abraham Evans (Virginia Beach, Va.) and junior
Dylan Gaines (Houston) took third overall, recording a 40.52 mark.
Individually, Dan-Princewill took bronze in the 100-meter dash with a 10.37 time.
In the field, senior
Chase Drewery (Waldorf, Md.) earned silver in the triple jump, leaping 15.44 meters (50'8").
Newcomer
Ashton McCullers (Washington) finished second overall in the pole vault, catapulting over 15 feet (4.66 meters).
Norfolk State won the MEAC Outdoor Track & Field Championship for the fourth straight season. Coppin State tied for second place with the Bison.
On May 28-31, several Bison travel to Jacksonville, Fla., for the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds.
