STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (April 18, 2025) – The Howard University women's lacrosse team wraps up its 2025 road slate with a Northeast Conference (NEC) matchup against Wagner College. The game is scheduled for Saturday (April 19) at noon in Staten Island, N.Y., as the Bison look to bounce back from a road loss to Le Moyne College.

MATCHUP PREVIEW
HOWARD
Howard (1-12, 1-6 NEC) enters the matchup after falling at Le Moyne Saturday (April 12), 19-5.
Graduate attacker
Sawyer Walker (Magnolia, Del.) reached a milestone in the loss, becoming the first Bison in program history to surpass 100 draw controls in a single season, including 13 against the Dolphins.
Freshmen
Adriyana Garrison (Wilmington, N.C.) and
Kyla Newkirk (Durham, N.C.) each recorded an unassisted goal. Third-year attacker
Chase Coleman (Houston) scored her fourth goal of the season in the final frame.
Sophomore
Cecilia Vitti (Detroit) anchored the midfield with two ground balls and two caused turnovers and freshman goalie
Taylor Williams (West Chester, Pa.) recorded eight saves.
The Bison aim to finish their road schedule on a high note as they head into their final stretch of the regular season.
WAGNER COLLEGE
Wagner (6-6, 6-1 NEC) comes into Saturday's matchup after a 17-5 win over CCSU (Central Connecticut State), clinching their 11
th straight appearance in the NEC Tournament.
Senior Ella Marino leads the offense with 13 goals in her last three games while the defense, anchored by goalie Grace DeCarolis (seven saves), held CCSU scoreless in two quarters and dominated the draw control battle.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
Howard returns to Greene Stadium for its final home game of the season Saturday (April 26) against the LIU Sharks. The matchup will also serve as Senior Day, with the opening draw set for noon.
