WASHINGTON (July 29, 2025) - In July 2025, Abby Hampson joined the Howard University women's lacrosse program as an assistant coach.
 
"I am beyond excited to join the women's lacrosse program for the upcoming year," said Hampson. "The passion shared by Coach Karen Healy-Silcott and the rest of the coaching staff, combined with the talent and drive of the student-athletes, makes me incredibly grateful to be part of something bigger than myself. I'm eager for what is ahead!"
 
During her time as a graduate student, she served as team captain and led the Bald Eagles to their first playoff appearance since 2018. As an attacker and draw specialist, Hampson appeared in 42 games over three seasons.
 
In addition to her athletic achievements, Hampson completed a two-year graduate assistantship in athletic operations for all varsity sports at Lock Haven (2023-25), as well as serving as president of the Sport Management club during the 2023-24 academic year.
 
Hampson earned both her Bachelor's (2024) and Master's (2025) of Science in Sport Management from Lock Haven University.
