PHILADELPHIA (February 8, 2025) – Howard University track & field program took part in the Penn Classic, hosted by the Quakers, where several Bison found success in the City of Brotherly Love.
On the women's side, junior
Sanaa Morris (Bermuda) and rookies
Brooke Cochran (Silver Spring, Md.),
Lindsay Johnson (Detroit) and
Tiffany Mugubi (Houston) represented Bison Nation in the 4x400 relay, earning third overall with a 3:45.58 mark.
Individually, Mugubi, senior
Camille Egbula (Simpsonville, S.C.) and junior
Jordyn Miller (Chicago) competed in the 800-meter run, placing third (2:12.17), seventh (2:15.07) and eighth (2:15.21), respectively.
Johnson, Cochran and Morris ran the 400-meter dash, finishing third (56.58), sixth (57.40) and eighth (58.45), respectively.
In the field, junior
Temi Banwo (Allen, Texas) grabbed fourth place in the weight throw (16.19 meters) and shot put (14.19 meters).
For the men, junior
Jorim Bangue (Yaounde, Cameroon) and newcomer
Justin Watterson (Las Vegas) secured third (7.93) and fifth (8.02), respectively, in the 60-meter hurdles.
Junior
Andre Prince (Windsor, Conn.) received fourth place in the weight throw, tossing 17.67 meters.
On Feb. 14-15, HU goes to the Windy City (Chicago) for the annual Wisconsin Windy City Invite, hosted by the Badgers.
