GOODYEAR, Ariz. (February 18, 2025) – Howard University men's golf team return to action at the annual Loyola Intercollegiate, hosted by the Greyhounds. The three-day tournament took place at the Palm Valley Golf Course (par-72, 7,015 yards).
Second-year golfer
Mitchell Grey (Mississauga, Canada) led the Bison, shooting 2-under par (214) during the 54-hole event while tying for 24
th overall.
Fifth-year Bison
Marcus Smith Jr. (Rockford, Ill.) shot even par (216), tying for 38
th on the player leaderboard.
Collectively, the Bison shot 12-over par (876) and finished 14
th overall.
Richmond won the 2025 Loyola Intercollegiate (835, -29), shooting 10 strokes better than runner ups Boise State (BSU), Middle Tennessee State and Loyola (Md.).
BSU's Cole Ruech took home the individual title after recording an impressive 16-under par (200) performance.
Howard plays in the Carpetbagger Classic in Urbana, Md. (March 22-23), hosted by the Binghamton Bearcats.
