CLEMSON, S.C. (February 1, 2025) – Howard University men's track & field program competed in the Bob Pollock Invitational, hosted by Clemson University, where the 4x400 relay squad broke a 41-year program record, which was set back in 1984.
Graduate
Noah Langford (Virginia Beach, Va.), sophomore
Emerson McKindra (Linden, N.J.) and rookies
Cameron Brazell (Houston) and
Elijah Grant (Fort Mill, S.C.) capped off the weekend, winning the 4x400 relay race at 3:09.58.
Individually, Langford took seventh in the 400-meter dash with a time of 47.85.
Fifth-year Bison
Zachary Hawkins (Lithonia, Ga.) earned bronze in the short hurdles (60-meter), clocking in at 7.82.
In the field, senior
Sean Wray (Stafford, Va.) leaped over 22-feet (6.99 meters) in the long jump where he placed sixth overall.
Fellow classmate
Chase Drewery (Waldorf, Md.) locked up eighth place in the triple jump, catapulting over 49-feet (14.94 meters).
On Feb. 8, Howard returns to the City of Brotherly Love (Philadelphia) for the third time this indoor season, competing at the Penn Classic, hosted by the Quakers.
