MATCHUP PREVIEW
HOWARD (5–10–2, 3–4–1 NEC)
Howard enters Sunday's matchup after battling Stonehill to a 1–1 draw on Senior Day at Greene Stadium. The Bison showed strong second-half resolve, equalizing through sophomore
Daniil Kaban (Kharkiv, Ukraine), who scored off an assist from senior
Ian Campbell (Des Moines, Iowa) in the 72
nd minute.
Goalkeeper
Liam Keiller (Gaithersburg, Md.) recorded four saves in the match while senior
Nigel McCloud (Fayetteville, Ga.) and freshman
Naim Robinson (Detroit) each created dangerous chances late as Howard pressed for a winner.
The Bison have gone unbeaten in two of their last three contests and will look to carry that momentum into their final road test of the season.
Defensively, Howard has tightened up, allowing one goal or fewer in back-to-back matches.
Offensively, Kaban and McCloud continue to lead the front line while Campbell and
Zach Simmons (Rockwall, Texas) have contributed creatively in the attacking buildup.
A win over FDU would give Howard its first road conference victory of the season and keeps its NEC playoff hopes alive.
FDU (10–4–3, 6–1–1 NEC)
FDU enters the contest riding high after a 3–2 win over Mercyhurst in nonconference play. The Knights have established themselves as one of the NEC's top attacks, led by forward Arnau Rabassa Guillamon, who netted two goals in the victory to bring his season total to nine—good for the conference lead.
Luke Ayaz and Nk Tima provide consistent support in the midfield while Takuto Nishide serves as the primary playmaker, already contributing multiple assists this fall. The Knights have been particularly strong at home, boasting a 5–1–1 record in Teaneck and averaging more than two goals per match.
With postseason implications still in play, FDU will look to close the regular season with momentum.
