CARY, N.C. (November 1, 2025) – Freshman standout
Sayid Shakur (Fort Washington, Md.) led the Howard University men's cross country team with an All-MEAC performance at the 2025 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Championships, held at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C.
The DMV native finished 13
th overall, clocking in at 25:49.10. The top 15 runners earned All-MEAC recognition.
Second-year Bison
William Shepherd (Plano, Texas) and
Paul Robinson (Bowie, Md.) just missed the team after placing 19
th (26:14.10) and 20
th (26:17.40), respectively.
Newcomer
Ashton Thomas (Greensboro, N.C.) registered a 26:59.00 time, which sits 23
rd overall.
Collectively, the Bison took sixth place.
Norfolk State won the 2025 MEAC Men's Championship, led by Lewis Too winning the individual title (24:20.60).
