BETHLEHEM, Pa. (November 14, 2025) – Sophomore
William Shepherd (Plano, Texas) and rookie
Alexis Jones (New Windsor, N.Y.) led the Howard University men's and women's cross country teams with new school records at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals, hosted by Lehigh University.
Shepherd shattered his previous mark set a year ago, posting a 32:36.80 mark in the men's 10K run. For Jones, she registered a 21:16.20 time in the women's 6K race, breaking the previous mark set back
Joslyn Crosby last season.
On the women's side, sophomores
Mira Martin (Columbus, Ohio) and
Kendall Robinson (Bowie, Md.) and junior
Sarah Seam (Gaithersburg, Md.) closed out the season with times of 21:26.00, 24:22.30 and 24:41.80, respectively.
For the men, DMV natives sophomore
Paul Robinson (Bowie, Md.) and
Sayid Shakur (Fort Washington, Md.) rounded out Bison Nation with marks of 33:38.60 and 33:42.00, respectively.
Princeton men and West Virginia (WVU) women took home the team titles.
Georgetown's Birhanu Harriman (29:20.60) and WVU's Joy Nauhot (19:11.80) won individual medals.
