COLMAR MANOR, Md. (October 18, 2025) – Howard University men's cross country won the 2025 Bison Invite with four runners finishing in the top 15. The race was held at Colmar Manor Community Park in Colmar Manor, Md.
Sophomore
William Shepherd (Plano, Texas) led the way, earning silver with a 15:51.30 mark.
Rookie
Sayid Shakur (Fort Washington, Md.) took seventh place (16:17.20) while second-year Bison
Paul Robinson (Bowie, Md.) claimed ninth overall (16:37.80).
Freshman
Ashton Thomas (Greensboro, N.C.) placed just outside the top 10, finishing 11
th with a 16:46.60 time.
Delaware State finished runner-up, followed by Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES).
UMES' Siyabanga Bongani won the individual title with a 15:45.70 mark.
On Nov. 1, the Bison will compete at the MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Championships in Cary, N.C. The race starts at 11 a.m.
