WASHINGTON (October 5, 2025) – Howard University men's golf team is gearing up for the Red Flash Invitational (Oct. 6-7), hosted by Saint Francis University. With continuous 36 holes on the first day and a final round of 18 on the second day, the event will take place in Johnstown, Pa.

HISTORY
In 2014, Saint Francis hosted the inaugural Red Flash Invitational and with this being the second consecutive season the event will occur at Sunnehanna Country Club in Johnstown.
Sunnehanna Country Club's is located in Johnstown, Pa., and widely known for hosting one of the most prestigious amateur events in the country, the Sunnehanna Amateur, each summer. Its 18-hole course, designated by A.W., Tillinghast, features a challenge layout, measures 6,868 yards and has a slope rating of 133.
TOURNAMENT PREVIEW
Alongside Howard and Saint Francis, this year participants include West Virginia University, Towson University, Mercyhurst University, UMass Amherst, University of New Haven, Columbia University, St. Thomas Aquinas College, High Point University and Mount St. Mary's University.
LAST TIMEOUT
During The Goat (Sept. 20-21), hosted by Navy, the Bison finished 10
th overall. Collectively, the Bison shot 30-over par (882) with all five golfers placing in the top half.
Junior
Tariro November led the way, firing 6-over par (219) in three rounds of action. He tied for 17
th in the player leaderboard.

Mitchell Grey (Mississauga, Canada),
Francisco Perez,
Mathis Perroni (Metz, France) and sophomore
Michael Perusse (Pearland, Texas) each posted a 224 (+11), tying for 37
th overall.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
The Bison will compete in their fifth tournament of the fall season, the Georgetown Intercollegiate in Westfield, N.J. (Oct. 13-14).
