COLMAR MANOR, Md. (October 18, 2025) – Howard University women's cross country team claimed the 2025 Bison Invite with all six runners finishing in the top 15. The annual event took place at Colmar Manor Community Park in Colmar Manor, Md.
Rookie
Alexis Jones (New Windsor, N.Y.) won the 5K race, clocking in at 18:34.90.
Second-year Bison
Mira Martin (Columbus, Ohio) finished runner-up behind Jones with a 18:55.70 time.
Fellow classmates
Ester Kirk (Morristown, N.J.) and
Kendall Robinson (Bowie, Md.) took fourth (19:14.90) and sixth (20:14.10), respectively.
Sophomores
Chloe Poindexter (State College, Pa.) and
Chandainey Boyce (Pawtucket, R.I.) placed just outside the top 10, earning 11
th (21:11.60) and 13
th (21:44.60), respectively.
Junior
Sarah Seam (Gaithersburg, Md.) rounded out the Bison with a 15
th-place finish (21:49.90).
Maryland Eastern Shore claimed second place, followed by Delaware State.
On Nov. 1, the Bison will compete at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Championships in Cary, N.C. The race starts at noon.
