CARY, N.C. (November 1, 2025) – Howard University women's cross country team won the 2025 MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Championship with five Bison finishing in the top 15. The race took place at WakeMed Park in Cary, N.C.
Freshman standout
Alexis Jones (New Windsor, N.Y.) was named MEAC Outstanding Performer after winning the event with a 17:49.10 mark.
Second-year Bison
Mira Martin (Columbus, Ohio) finished runner-up behind Jones, clocking in at 18:18.70.
Sophomores
Tiffany Mugubi (Houston) and
Ester Kirk (Morristown, N.J.) placed eighth (18:58.90) and ninth (19:00.00), respectively, junior
Sarah Seam (Gaithersburg, Md.) rounded out the Bison, earning 14
th overall (19:22.60).
All five Bison made the All-MEAC Team.
Sophomore
Kendall Robinson (Bowie, Md.) just missed making the All-MEAC Team, finishing 19
th place (19:34.80).
Norfolk State took second place while North Carolina Central claimed third overall.
