EMMITTSBURG, Md. (August 29, 2025) – Howard University women's cross country team grabbed third overall at the Mount 5K Duals, hosted by Mount St. Mary's.
Sophomore
Mira Martin (Columbus, Ohio) and freshman
Alexis Jones (New Windsor, N.Y.) led the charge, each finishing in the top 10. Martin claimed third place, clocking in at 18:48.31, while Jones earned ninth overall (19:12.13).
Second-year Bison
Ester Kirk (Morristown, N.J.) registered a 19:37.97 mark, taking 20
th place.
Fellow classmates
Kendall Robinson (Bowie, Md.) and
Tiffany Mugubi (Houston) rounded out the top half, finishing 35
th (20:11.75) and 41
st (20:34.75), respectively.
Delaware won the 2025 Mount 5K Duals. UMBC's Alexis Tepper claimed the individual title with a 18:29.59 time.
On Sept. 12, Howard goes to Charlottesville, Va., for the Virginia Invitational, hosted by the Cavaliers.
