NORFOLK, Va. (October 22, 2025) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) revealed its cross country weekly honors where Howard University freshman standout
Alexis Jones (New Windsor, N.Y.) won the league's Women's Runner of the Week. The announcement came Wednesday.
Jones captured the individual title at the Bison Invite (Oct. 18), crossing the line in 18:34.90 while leading the Bison to victory at their home meet.
Second-year Bison
William Shepherd (Plano, Texas) received honorable mention after placing second overall with a 15:51.30 mark.
Maryland Eastern Shore's Siyabonga Mbatha was named MEAC Men's Runner of the Week.
On Nov. 1, the Bison will compete at the MEAC Championships in Cary, N.C. The race starts at noon.
