NORFOLK, Va. (January 31, 2025) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) uncovered its women's tennis weekly honors where Howard University had second-year Bison
Ava Chambers (Wellington, Fla.) claim the league's Player of the Week award. The announcement came Friday morning.
In Saturday's (Jan. 25) clash with crosstown rival Georgetown, Chambers served in the No. 3 singles position where she defeated Katie Garofolo-Ro in three sets (6-2, 5-7, 7-5).
Friday (Feb. 7), both teams host Temple at the WTEF (Washington Tennis & Education Foundation's) East Capitol Campus. First-serve at 12:30 p.m. The following day (Feb. 8), HU women face Maryland in College Park, Md. Match time is set for 10 a.m.
