WASHINGTON (September 8, 2024) – Howard University men's golf team starts its 2024 fall slate with the annual HU-USF Intercollegiate, co-hosted by the Bison and San Francisco. The two-day (Sept. 9-10) tourney takes place at Manor Country Club in Rockville, Md.

Fans are welcome and encouraged to attend both days of the event.
HISTORY
Howard and San Francisco (USF) are entering their third year of a unique partnership.
In Year One, USF partnered with the Bison to begin a tournament that is focused on equity and inclusion within the sport of golf. Collegiately, this tournament gives unheralded programs the opportunity to compete at prestigious venues, such as TPC Harding Park and TPC Potomac, last year's course.
"The tournament that we have created, which alternates coasts, has truly been amazing," said Howard Director of Golf
Sam Puryear. "It has given us a diverse field, allowed us to impact the local communities through verbiage and clinics and has matched universities together that otherwise would have not ever met."
TOURNAMENT PREVIEW
The tourney features 12 programs, including four HBCUs: Howard; USF; Alabama State; Binghamton; Florida A&M; Georgetown; George Mason; George Washington; Loyola (Md.); Princeton; Prairie View A&M and Towson.
The 2024 Howard/USF Intercollegiate begins with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. (ET) both days.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
On Sept. 21-22, HU travels to nearby Annapolis, Md., for The Goat, hosted by the Naval Academy.
