BRIDGEWATER, N.J. (September 30, 2024) – The Northeast Conference (NEC) uncovered its women's soccer weekly honors where Howard University saw two Bison acknowledged for their incredible performances. The announcement came Monday.
Sophomore goalie
Trinity Knox (Atlanta) won NEC Defensive Player of the Week while newcomer
Gabriella Garcia-Terrell (Centreville, Va.) took home Rookie of the Week.
Knox led the Bison with a pair of shutout victories over Le Moyne College (Sept. 26) and Chicago State (Sept. 29). In the wins, she racked up four total saves in 180 minutes of action.
For Garcia-Terrell, she propelled HU over the Dolphins, recording the lone goal at the 57-minute mark.
Both Bison were selected to the NEC Prime Performers list.
Central Connecticut State's Aoite Horgan and Stonehill College's Grace Caso were named NEC Co-Players of the Week.
The Bison return to conference play Thursday, Oct. 3 at 3 p.m., when they travel to Pennsylvania to face the Saint Francis Red Flash.
