SMYRNA, Del. (September 13, 2024) – Howard University men's cross country team return to action in a big way, winning the 2024 Delaware State University (DSU) Invite in Smyrna, Del., hosted by the Hornets.
On the afternoon, three Bison placed in the top 10. Rookie
Eyob Gill (Arden, N.C.) finished runner-up, clocking in at 15:10.20, while fellow classmate
Habtamu Epley (Chicago) earned fourth overall (15:46.30). Freshman
William Shepherd (Plano, Texas) rounded out the top 10, taking 10
th with a 16:16.80 mark.
Other notable performances included DMV native
Paul Robinson (Bowie, Md) and
Adams Odhiambo (Melissa, Texas) grabbing 13
th (16:43.40) and 14
th (16:48.90), respectively. Sophomore
Jordan Good (Burlington, N.C.) ran a time of 17:34.40, securing 21
st overall.
DSU finished second in the team leaderboard, led by Marian Drazan winning the race with a 15:03.40 time.
On Sept. 28, HU goes to Bethlehem, Pa., for the annual Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh.
