BALTIMORE (April 14, 2024) – Howard University tennis program will be going head-to-head with Coppin State Monday (April 15) at 1 p.m., at the UMBC Tennis Courts in Baltimore.

HOWARD MEN
 
Howard men (3-10, 0-3 MEAC) are looking to snap its four-match skid while grabbing its first league win of the season.
 
Senior 
Justin Cadeau (West Orange, N.J.) and rookie 
Michael Major, Jr. (Nassau, Bahamas) lead the charge with five singles wins apiece. In doubles competition, the duo is 6-5 overall.
 
HOWARD WOMEN
 
HU women (8-9, 2-2 MEAC) are coming into the match with confidence and high hopes after beating George Mason (April 6). The Bison hope to start the week off great with a plan to continue a winning streak.
 
Junior 
Nadia Pegram (Naples, Fla.) and newcomer 
Imani Jean (Brooklyn, N.Y.) lead the way with a combined 22 singles victories. In doubles play, the duo is 10-6 while riding a four-match win streak.
 
COPPIN STATE
 
Coppin State looks to close out the season strong.

Thursday (April 4), the Bison men fell at No. 57 Delaware, 7-0.
 
On April 6, the Bison bounced back from a challenging defeat, spoiling George Mason's Senior Day with a decisive 4-0 victory in Fairfax, Va.
 
Pegram and Jean clinched their fourth doubles win in a row, blanking their rivals 6-0.
 
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
 
Saturday (April 20) marks Senior Day as the Bison take on Morgan State in the heart of D.C., at the Banneker Recreation Center. First-serve is slated for 1 p.m.
