STATE PARK, Pa. (November 15, 2024) – Howard University cross country program wrapped up its 2024 campaign at the Mid-Atlantic Regionals in State Park, Pa., hosted by Penn State University.
Senior
Joslyn Crosby (Bossier City, La.) and rookie
William Shepherd (Plano, Texas) led the Bison in their respective races.
In the women's 6K event, Crosby finished in the top half with a 21:44.80 time. Freshman
Mira Martin (Columbus, Ohio) was the next Bison to cross the finish line at 22:10.80.
For the men's 10K, Shepherd fell 20 seconds short of setting a new program record, clocking in at 32:56.60. Fellow classmate
Habtamu Epley (Chicago) finished behind Shepherd, producing a 33:50.50 mark.
Villanova men won the 10K race with Liam Murphy (29:22.80) and Marco Langon (29:32.00) taking first and second, respectively.
On the women's side, West Virginia took home the title. Ceili McCabe led the Mountaineers, winning the event with a 19:11.20 time.
