DALLAS (November 13, 2024) – Howard University sophomore Paris Fieldings (Chesapeake, Va.) won the 2024 Southwest Airlines Showcase at Cedar Crest in Dallas. The three-day (Nov. 11-13), 54-hole event took place at the Cedar Crest Golf Course (par-71, 5,752).
 
This is the second year-in-a-row that a Howard golfer has won the event (Gregory Odom Jr.).
 
After shooting back-to-back even par (71) in rounds one and two, Fieldings closed out the tourney strong, firing 5-under par (66) during the final round. In 54 holes, she posted a 208 (-5).
 
SMU's Emily Odwin and UTSA's Daniela Abonce placed second after a 3-under par (210) performance.
 
Overall, four Bison finished in the top 10, led by Fieldings.
 
All-NEC selection senior Kendall Jackson (Pearland, Texas) returned to her home state, recording 1-under par (212) during the event, including 4-under (67) in round two.
 
Alaythia Hinds and junior Marley Franklin (Los Angeles) tied for eighth overall in the player leaderboard, finishing 4-over par (217).
 
Howard wrapped up the fall season and prepares for the 2025 spring.
