RALEIGH, N.C. (March 24, 2026) – Howard University women's golf team competed in the City of Oaks Collegiate, hosted by North Carolina State (NC State) in Raleigh, N.C. The three-day event (March 22-24) was held at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course (par-72, 6,168 yards).
Sophomore
Lena Durette (Scottsdale, Ariz.) led the Bison, firing 16-over par (232) while tying for 27
th overall.
All-NEC selection senior
Morgan Horrell (Dallas) tied for 35
th place after shooting 18-over par (234).
Collectively, HU shot 77-over par (941).
No. 44 North Carolina State won the 2026 City of Oaks Collegiate, recording 24-over par (888) in three days of work. Rutgers finished runner-up (901, +37), followed by Coastal Carolina (905, +41).
No. 23 Marie Madsen (NC State) took home the individual crown after posting a 214 (-2) in 54 holes of action. Emily James (Rutgers) claimed second place (220, +4).
On March 31-April 1, HU goes to the Lone Star State for the Women in Golf National Collegiate.
