WASHINGTON (October 4, 2024) – Howard University men's & women's cross country teams are traveling up to Lehigh University Saturday (Oct. 5) for the 50
th anniversary of the Paul Short Run. Both races take place at the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course on the north end of Goodman Campus, adjacent to College Drive.
HU will compete in the Gold Race, starting with the men competing at 11 a.m., followed by the women at 11:45 a.m.

HISTORY
This year in particular is special as to commemorate the 50
th anniversary of this race with Lehigh turning the race into a two-day event. Now expanded to high school, college and open athletics teams, it can accommodate up to 45 different teams with 12 runners per race.
Howard will face teams from across the nation, including top-ranked teams from all divisions.
LAST TIMEOUT
On Sept. 13, HU continued their strong season with standout performances at the Delaware State Invite.
For the men, freshman
Habtamu Epley (Chicago) clocked in at 15:46.3, securing fourth place overall in his 5K race.
On the women's side, senior
Joslyn Crosby (Bossier City, La.) dominated the field, finishing first with a time of 18:21.1 in her 5K race.
The Bison maintained their momentum, with the men's team finishing first and the women's team placing second overall in the event.
