Women’s Tennis Closes Out Road Swing at James Madison

Bison seek first win of the season against JMU

WASHINGTON (January 26, 2024) – Howard University women's tennis program travels to Harrisonburg, Va., to face James Madison (JMU) for the first time in four years in a nonconference showdown. Match time is set for noon.

HU (0-2) enters Saturday with collective determination to rewrite their story and achieve its first win of the season.
 
Last season, Sifa Butcher (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) and Jordan Grayson (Gaithersburg, Md.) led the team with six double team victories, including four during conference play.
 
JAMES MADISON
 
James Madison (1-2) is seeking to start their winning streak on the young season.
 
Daria Munteanu is currently spearheading the team, boasting an impressive winning streak of two consecutive victories.
 
LAST TIMEOUT
 
On January 21, the Bison continued its road swing with a 7-0 setback to Penn at the Hamlin/Hecht Tennis Center in Philadelphia.
 
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
 
On February 2, HU women battle Longwood in D.C., at the Washington Tennis & Education Foundation's (WTEF) East Capitol Campus.
 
The following day (February 3), both clubs will be taking on Navy in Annapolis, Md. Match time is slated for 9 a.m.
