WASHINGTON (September 29, 2023) – After competing earlier during the week in Missouri, the Howard University women's golf team heads to nearby Annapolis, Md., for the Navy Fall Invitational, hosted by the Mids. The two-day, 36-hole event takes place at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club (par-72, 6,084 yards).
The first round's tee times start at 9 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 30) while Sunday's (Oct. 1) second round is set for a 9 a.m. shotgun start.

HISTORY
This will be the second consecutive year HU has competed in the event.
Last season, Howard took sixth overall in the team standings.
Sophomores
Marley Franklin (Los Angeles) and
Morgan Horrell (Dallas) each finished tied for 25
th after shooting 160 (+16).
LAST TIMEOUT
On Sept. 25-27, HU finished strong at the Johnie Imes Invitational, hosted by the Mizzou Tigers.
HU shot 9-over par (297) in the final round, moving up three slots and taking seventh overall (893, +29).
Horrell led the charge, shooting 1-under par (71) with five birdies in the third round. Overall, the Dallas native recorded 5-over par (221) and tied for 25
th in the standings.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
On Oct. 9-10, selected individuals will travel to Dallas for the Jackson T. Stephens Cup. The two-day event takes place at the Trinity Forest Golf Club.
