LAKE BLUFF, Ill. (September 17, 2025) – Howard University golf program saw four Bison compete in the annual Jackson T. Stephens Cup. The two-day (Sept. 16-17), 54-hole event took place at Shoreacres in Lake Bluff, Ill.
Juniors
Mathis Perroni (Metz, France) and
Tariro November represented Bison Nation on the men's side. The Frenchmen shot 1-under par (209), tying for 13
th overall, while November fired 3-over par (+3), tying for 26
th place on the individual leaderboard.
SMU's William Sides won the individual medal after shooting 7-under par (203), outlasting LSU Gunnlaugur Arni Sueinsson (205, -5).
For the women, All-NEC selections junior
Paris Fieldings (Chesapeake, Va.) and senior
Marley Franklin (Los Angeles) took part in the prestigious event. Fieldings, reigning NEC Women's Golfer of the Year, recorded a 223 (+13) while the Los Angeles native finished 14-over par (224).
Wake Forest's Macy Pale took home the individual crown with an eight-under par (202) performance. Teammate Chloe Kovelesky and Oregon's Kiara Romero tied for second place (206, -4).
On Sept. 20-21, the men's team heads to Annapolis, Md., for The Goat, hosted by Navy, while the women's squad travel to Columbia, Mo., for the Johnie Imes Invite, hosted by Missouri.
