NORFOLK, Va. (March 24, 2023) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) revealed its women's bowling postseason honors where Howard University freshman standout
Cameren Sullivan (Chicago) made the All-MEAC Team. The announcement came Friday morning.
Sullivan earned a spot on the third team after leading the Bison in several categories, including total pinfalls (7,082) and pinfall average (177.1).
The Chicago native's best outing came in the MEAC Meet No. 2 (Feb. 18-19) where she averaged a season-high 187.0 in eight traditional matches, including a game-high 247 against rival Norfolk State.
North Carolina A&T State (NCAT) sophomore Melanie Katen was named MEAC) Bowler of the Year while the Aggies' Kim Terrell-Kearney earned Coach of the Year honors. Morgan State's Johnna Hill claimed the league's Rookie of the Year.
All awards were voted on by the conference's head coaches and sports information directors.
Later on, HU battles top-seeded NCAT in the MEAC Tournament opening round. The Mega Match is slated for 9 a.m., at Pinboy's at the Beach [1577 Laskin Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23451].
