GOODYEAR, Ariz. (February 27, 2023) – Howard University men's golf team moved up two slots at the Loyola Intercollegiate, hosted by Loyola (Md.).
 
Currently, the Bison sit tied for ninth after shooting 2-under par (286) as a team.
 
Seniors Gregory Odom Jr. (Memphis, Tenn.) and Everett Whiten Jr. (Chesapeake, Va.) led the resurgence.
 
On Day Two, Whiten shot 5-under par (67) and sits tied for fifth overall. Odom continues his consistent play, producing a 70 (-2) for the second consecutive day and standing tied for eighth.
 
Wright State has taken the lead going into the final round after shooting 13-under par (275). Marquette and Utah Valley are tied for second, recording 9-under (567) after two rounds.
 
Individually, Drake's Lucas Scherf leapfrogged the field after shooting an incredible 9-under par (63) in round two, holding a one-stroke lead over Utah Valley's Caden Weber.
 
The tournament continues Tuesday (Feb. 27) at 9:45 a.m. (ET)/7:45 p.m. (MT).
