KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (April 5, 2026) – Howard University men's golf heads down to North Carolina for the Irish Creek Collegiate, hosted by Appalachian State University. The two-day tournament (April 6-7) will take place at The Club at Irish Creek (par-71, 7,009 yards).
HISTORY
Last year, 16 teams competed in the Irish Creek Collegiate, a 54-hole tournament, where Howard tied for 12
th place. Marquette won the tournament while Old Dominion took second place.
This would be Howard's second year participating in the tournament.
TOURNAMENT PREVIEW
The Club at Irish Creek is a private course in Kannapolis, N.C. This course features 7,099 yards, par-71 with a 74.3 rating and 137 slope.
LAST TIMEOUT
On March 26-28, HU competed in The Goodwin, hosted by the Stanford Cardinals, ending the tournament 28-over par (868).
Junior
Francisco Perez shot 8-over par (218) while sophomore
Michael Perusse (Pearland, Texas) finished 9-over par (219).
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
Following this tournament, the Bison will be competing the NEC Championships (April 24-26) in Elliott City, Md.
