WASHINGTON (February 24, 2023) – Howard University women's tennis team have an eventful upcoming weekend.
 
Saturday (Feb. 25), the Lady Bison host George Washington University (GWU). Match time is set for 2 p.m., at the Washington Tennis & Education Foundation's (WTEF) East Capitol Campus in Southeast D.C.
 
The following day (Feb. 26), the women's team hit the road to face the United States Naval Academy in the Tose Family Tennis Center. First serve is slated for 10 a.m.
 
MATCHUP PREVIEW 
 
HOWARD
 
The Bison are extra motivated entering this weekend after securing back-to-back wins against Johns Hopkins (Feb. 17), 5-2, and Villanova (Feb. 18), 4-2.
 
Reigning Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Year 
Jordan Grayson (Gaithersburg, Md.) comes in with a 2-2 singles record while two-time MEAC Rookie of the Week 
Selah Stibbins (Minneapolis) has a 3-1 mark.
 
GEORGE WASHINGTON
 
GW has previously beaten the Bison 11 straight matches and come in with a three-match winning streak.
 
NAVY
 
Last weekend, Navy secured their eighth consecutive win, their longest win streak since the 2020 season.
 
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
 
On March 3, the Lady Bison are set to host Georgetown at the WTEF's East Capitol Campus in Southeast D.C. Match time has not yet been determined.
