WASHINGTON (February 11, 2023) – Howard University tennis program heads to Bethlehem, Pa., to square off against Leigh in a nonconference showdown.
 
Men are scheduled for 10 a.m., followed by the women at 2 p.m.

Entering the weekend, both clubs are looking to keep the momentum going.
 
For the men, they earned their first win of the season Friday (Feb. 10). Reigning Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Week sophomore 
Marcel Dawson (Columbus, Ga.) leads the club with a pair of singles wins.
 
HU women are seeking their first victory of the season. Despite the early setback at Temple, 5-2, the squad is led by reigning MEAC Player of the Year 
Jordan Grayson (Gaithersburg, Md.) and freshman standout 
Selah Stibbins (Minneapolis).
 
LEHIGH
 
Lehigh men look to bounce back after a 7-0 loss to Drexel. After starting the year 2-1, the Mountain Hawks have suffered back-to-back setbacks.
 
On the women's side, they are looking to break its three-match skid after opening the season with a 5-2 victory over Monmouth.
 
LAST TIMEOUT
 
Friday (Feb. 10), the Bison picked up their first win of the season, edging out crosstown rival UDC (University of District of Columbia), 4-3, at the Washington Tennis & Education Foundation's East Capitol Campus in Southeast D.C.
 
For the women, they fell in its season opener at Temple, 5-2, Sunday (Feb. 5).
 
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
 
Next weekend (Feb. 17-19), HU hosts multiple contests at the Washington Tennis & Education Foundation's East Capitol Campus in Southeast D.C.
 
On Feb. 17, the women face John Hopkins.
 
The next day (Feb. 18), HU men take on Bucknell while the women meet Villanova.
 
Sunday (Feb. 19), the men battle Mount St. Mary's.
