BRIDGEWATER, N.J. (October 9, 2023) – The Northeast Conference (NEC) unveiled its women's soccer weekly honors where Howard University freshman standout
Samantha James (Herndon, Va.) took home Co-Rookie of the Week. The announcement came Monday afternoon.
In the road win at Sacred Heart (Oct. 8), the Virginia native registered three points (one goal & one assist). James found junior midfielder
Zoe Moore (Tampa, Fla.) for the contest's first goal and then she scored off an assist by junior forward

This season, James leads the NEC with five total assists.
Merrimack's Jillian Golden was selected NEC Player of the Week. FDU's Andrea Ougaard received Defensive Player of the Week while teammate Katia Cardaba shared top rookie honors with James.
The Bison are back on the pitch Thursday, October 12, at 7 p.m., when they face FDU in Teaneck, New Jersey.
