FAIRFAX, Va. (October 8, 2023) – Howard University women's tennis team put on a dominant performance at the Hidden Dual Invitational, hosted by George Mason in Fairfax, Va.
 
Sunday's action featured matchups against Mount St. Mary's (MSM).
 
In doubles play, junior 
Nadia Pegram (Naples, Fla.) and newcomer 
Ava Chambers (Wellington, Fla.) won their match, 6-1, over MSM's Margherita Trolese and Ryan McCarthy.
 
Rookie duo 
Hanna Dessie (Los Angeles) and 
Sofia Lindholm (Sarasota, Fla.) picked up their first collegiate doubles win, taking down the Mount's Emma Kaden and Stephanie Huesby, 6-1.
 
HU cruised in singles competition, winning all seven matches.
 
Chambers, Pegram, juniors 
Sifa Butcher (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) and 
Jordan Grayson (Gaithersburg, Md.), sophomore 
Selah Stibbins (Minneapolis) and freshmen 
Imani Jean (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and 
Lauren Oliver (Winston-Salem, N.C.) all took home singles victories.
 
Monday (Oct. 9), the Bison face host George Mason. The action starts at 11 a.m.
