SMYRNA, Del. (October 28, 2023) – Howard University redshirt junior Wendensen King (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) earned all-conference recognition after finishing 13^th overall at the 2023 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Cross Country Championships. The event was hosted by Delaware State University (DSU) in Smyrna, Del.
 
King clocked in at 28:05.5 during the 8K race while helping the Bison secure sixth place in the team standings.
 
The top 15 runners received All-MEAC recognition.
 
DMV native rookie Jayden Keels (Hyattsville, Md.) just missed All-MEAC honors, finishing 16^th overall with a season-best 28:32.5 time.
 
Norfolk State won the 2023 MEAC title, led by Gidion Sigei with a mark of 24:39.1. DSU finished runner-up behind the Spartans.
