NORFOLK, Va. (September 7, 2022) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) unveiled its Cross Country weekly honors where Howard University had a pair of Bison acknowledged for their incredible performances over the weekend. The announcement came Wednesday morning.
 
Seniors Ayoade Adebiyi (Virginia Beach, Va.) and Melanie White (Orlando, Fla.) were selected MEAC Runners of the Week.
 
At the Mount 5K Duals in Emmitsburg, Md., White won the individual title with a time of 19:13.40 while guiding HU to a victory. For Adebiyi, the Virginia native broke his own 5K school record, clocking in at 15:56.40 while finishing fifth overall.
 
Howard returns to action Friday (Sept. 16) to compete in a loaded field at the Navy Invitational in Annapolis, Md. Meet is set to start with the women at 5:15 p.m., followed by the men's race at 6:30 p.m.
