WASHINGTON (August 23, 2022) – Howard men's & women's cross country programs announce their 2022 slate, which includes two meets in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
In the first season under new Cross Country Head Coach
Wesley Stephens, the Bison face their most challenging season to date.
"We have some firepower on both sides where we need to run a difficult regular season schedule," said Stephens. "The mix of difficult courses and high level competition will help us achieve our post season goals."
On Sept. 2, the Bison open up local at the Mount 5K Duals in Emmittsburg, Md., and then venture eastward to Annapolis, Md., to compete in the Navy Invitational (Sept. 16). The Bison close out the month with a competitive race at the Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pa. (Sept. 30).
Howard continues competition at the Delaware Invitational in Newark, Del. (Oct. 15) and then travel back to Delaware two weeks later for the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Cross Country Championships (Oct. 28).
On Nov. 11, Howard makes its return to the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional in State College, Pa. to close out the 2022 season.
