WASHINGTON (March 25, 2022) – Howard University men's and women's tennis teams return to the court Saturday (March 26). HU goes on the road to meet Hampton in the Battle of the Real HU. Match time is scheduled for 1 p.m.

HOWARD
The men (3-5) are looking to get back on track before conference play. Newcomer
Marcel Dawson (Midland, Ga.) enters with a 5-1 mark in singles play. Sophomore
Justin Cadeau (West Orange, N.J.) served as the club's No. 1 singles play.
For the women (5-3), reigning Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Rookie of the Week freshman
Jordan Grayson (Gaithersburg, Md.) leads the way with a 5-3 singles play, including 3-0 during the league's Round Up.
HAMPTON
For the men (2-11), they are looking to snap a three-match skid. Matthew Foster-Estwick serves as the team's top singles player, recording a 2-4 mark.
On the women's side (1-9), they earned their first win of the season after defeating North Carolina A&T State, 5-2.
LAST TIMEOUT
On March 17-19, both squads competed in the MEAC Round Up in Cary, N.C., where they went 5-1 combined.
On the women's side, they went 3-0 with victories over Norfolk State, 5-2, South Carolina State, 4-3, and North Carolina Central, 6-1.
For the men, they took down North Carolina Central, 5-2, and Norfolk State, 6-1, but fell to South Carolina State, 1-6.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
Next weekend, both clubs resume MEAC play. Friday (April 1), Howard squares off against Coppin State. The next day (April 2), HU battles Morgan State on Senior Day. Both days are scheduled for 2 p.m. at Banneker Recreation Center.
