DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (October 25, 2022) - Howard University men's golf team closes the 2022 fall season with a third-place finish at the Daytona Beach Intercollegiate.
Overall, HU shot 22-over par (886) during the three-day event while a pair of Bison earned top 10 finishes.
Senior Gregory Odom Jr. (Memphis) led the way, placing fifth overall after shooting six-under (210) during the event, including a team-best 67 (-5) on day one.
Fellow classmate Everett Whiten Jr. (Chesapeake, Va.) made progress through the tournament, leaping from 13th to eighth place while registering a 73 (+1) in the final round.
Stetson University led the competition through all three rounds, shooting 832 (-32) to take home the hardware. Stetson's Matt Gauntlett and Truman Keppy won the event, tying for first place (-8, 208).
